Spotify and Boxee Box by D-Link
a match made in heaven

So I was at a Salesforce conference in Sydney a week ago called Cloudforce and Spotify did their presentation on their use of Salesforce (like Rypple) and how they integrate the packages into their company with such great success. While surfing around the internet I came across Spotify’s competition page on Facebook, I thought to myself, no harm in trying and entered their competition and thought no more, as you do when you enter competitions.

So last night i get an email from Spotify saying “i won a Boxee Box and a 3 month subscription to Spotify on their Premium package” – i was jumping for joy. It’s not often i win something and for this to come out of the blue, i was totally wrapped.

Using Boxee and Spotify is just a match made in heaven. I can now have my home entertainment system hooked up together and pump out some great trax while I’m entertaining, working around the house or just chilling and taking time out.

To have Spotify working on the Boxee you must subscribe to the premium package, which is around AU$11 or AU$12 per month, which is nothing, what can you buy for that amount of money these days and spread it over 4 weeks. If you purchase an album in other services like iTunes, you are looking at up to $20ish dollars an album, so Spotify is just the perfect solution to downloading and listening LOTS to track and albums, either streaming it or actually downloading it to your mobile device or computer. Unfortunately, with Boxee, you can’t download it to the box but streaming is just fine.

Take advantage of your favourites and preload all your tracks into it, this way you can then walk away and listen to your line up of music without having to hunt around for it.

All in all, Boxee and Spotify are just perfect together for your home entertainment pleasure, inexpensive packages and a great range of music… check them out today!
